Oman’s unique geographical and geological features make oil & gas exploration and production a genuine challenge. Geographically, the major challenges are sand dunes, harsh desert environment and extreme heat during summer months.
Geologically, Oman is complex with small fields and tight reservoirs with low permeability at depths up to 5,000 metres, making extraction technically challenging.
Our annual business plans include projects for the development of discovered hydrocarbons (HC) resources and exploration for greater reserve volumes within Block 5. Daleel has drilled over 720 wells since takeover of the initial oilfield in 2002. The company has explored and brought several new fields on-stream in recent times.
